Being photographed by Jack Radcliffe is, for me, a journey to the discovery of the strengths and ambitions of my character. Jack takes cues from my own personality and purpose, then, directs the scene to most effectively contextualize my deliberately presented persona in the photograph. The result is both a literal image and psychologically projected picture of my personally idealized self. Jack’s photographs create a benchmark for me to pursue. My images are undoubtedly me - just a little stronger, a little tougher, a little more self-assured, and a little more confident. Jack lets my character drive the way that I’m seen. I, sometimes, let the way I’m seen drive my character. Our collaboration has helped me to reconcile the gap between who I feel I am and how I want to be viewed.
